Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed her role. But her parents would not let her perform until she was an adult, for fear of the negative effects that stress could have on their daughter. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. She began acting at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University moved in New York in search of acting roles on television. She landed small parts on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness led her to California in search of theater jobs. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was a part of the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's show The Family. Perry was a regular character in the ABC political drama Scandal, starring her dad. The actress also portrayed her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The actress was chosen for the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
